World Pickleball Day in Kyiv!
On October 12, Kyiv hosted a pickleball tournament dedicated to World Pickleball Day, celebrating this dynamic and inclusive sport.
Eight teams from across Ukraine took part in the event, and a special highlight was the participation of the popular Ukrainian band “Aviator”, who became the first official ambassadors of pickleball in Ukraine!
The tournament was organized by our charitable foundation, “Future of Ukraine 2050.”
What is pickleball?
Pickleball is accessible, engaging, and inclusive, and it’s growing rapidly worldwide.
Anyone can play — regardless of age, fitness level, gender, or physical abilities — making it especially valuable for those seeking a sport for rehabilitation or active leisure.
We are proud to be part of a global community of pickleball players and fans, and we want everyone to have a chance to enjoy this wonderful game that brings joy, supports physical health, and promotes social interaction.
After the tournament, a friendly gathering was held, where players and guests not only shared their impressions, but also actively discussed ideas for further developing pickleball in Ukraine.
Some participants discovered pickleball while living abroad, where the sport is highly popular, and are now excited to see it gaining momentum back home.
Collaboration, new connections, and shared vision — yet another reason why pickleball is worth playing.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the participants, to the band “Aviator”, and to our amazing team for an unforgettable day!
Join our growing pickleball community — newcomers are always welcome!
A reminder: our foundation, “Future of Ukraine 2050,” has extensive experience implementing projects to rebuild infrastructure in cities and towns affected by the war.
A vital part of our mission is the restoration of medical facilities, educational institutions, sports infrastructure, and housing.
That’s why our pickleball integration project is not only about expanding access to sport — it’s also about strengthening community bonds and supporting physical and psychological recovery through play.
